The Real Life Budweiser Super Bowl Commercial "Puppy Love"!

The Budweiser puppy commercial became the most popular advertisement during NFL Super Bowl XLVIII of 2014. When I saw the commercial, I couldn't help but notice it looked very familiar to a relationship between a certain thoroughbred horse and dog at our home. Winston, the bulldog and Jack Saw, the thoroughbred race horse, bonded as juveniles when "Jack" would drop his grain on the ground and Winston would gladly clean up the mess for him. In the video, you can see Winston grab a piece of hay that was stuck in the stall gate and taunt the horse with it until Jack ate it right out of his mouth. This video was published in 2011 and the Budweiser Super Bowl commercial, featuring a lab puppy and a clydesdale, was released this year, 2014. I am sure there are tons of videos on YouTube with dogs and horses, but in my opinion, these guys are the cutest.
The local CBS news affiliate saw this real life, puppy love video on Facebook and gave us a call. They sent a reporter out to do an update on their relationship and they made the 6 O'clock news and a 7 p.m. broadcast. The 6 p.m. broadcast was very brief, but the 7 p.m. news aired a longer version of the interview. I will try and get a copy of the video report and post it soon. I don't mind if Budweiser got their puppy commercial idea from these two. After all, they did write the script.

What Happens To Race Horses Who Miss Training Days

This jumping thoroughbred filly has missed one too many training days due to ice and snow. This race horse has been training on a cross country course through rolling hills. The frigid cold weather that hit the majority of the U.S. has briefly interrupter this filly's training schedule. She had a large paddock to run around in, but when this horse feels the need for speed, there is no keeping her still. In this video, she is actually reacting to the rattle of feed buckets and the blower used to sweep out the barn. The next day this high strung race horse was able to train and gave the exercise rider a run for their money. This thoroughbred filly is back in the swing of things and has satisfied her energy release requirements through miles of jogging and galloping. She should be back racing sooner than later. She definitely loves being a thoroughbred race horse.
